A complete refurbishment and transformation (back to shell) of a retail / high street space. Ferro Design were commissioned to undertake full design and design co-ordination through concept design, scheme design, detail design (to include shop front, interiors and kitchen) and branding and graphics co-ordination. The brief was to make the space commercially visible, comfortable, warm, inviting and operationally effective and efficient. Café Africa has a strong moral ethos, is acutely aware of the environment and use fair trade produce. As part of the design we were keen to use environmentally sound materials where possible; these can be seen in the bamboo and palm materials for the counter front, accessory items and wall panels.
